Enjoy Picayune’s newest park features:

  • 1, 024 square foot outdorr stage/theater
  • 2 public restrooms
  • 2 private restrooms
  • 2 changing rooms (for performers)
  • Sound system – 1 microphone, 2 speakers on stage and 26 speakers surrounding the park
  • 5 acres of fenced in greenspace available for events

Picayune citizens can enjoy the 1/3 mile walking track, 16 benches around the green space. Music is played from 5:00am to 10:00pm daily.

CITIZENS CAN PURCHASE RESTROOM KEY FOBS FOR AN ANNUAL FEE OF $25. KEY FOBS CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE CITY HALL UTILITY OFFICE.

Enjoy Picayune’s favorite Sports Complex equipped with tennis courts, baseball fields, and playground. The Kids Kingdom Playground bo asts a large pavilion, tunnels, slides, swings, staircases and raised wooden walkways allowing kids of all ages to get physical activity.

Enjoy the serene atmosphere and cool shade of oak tress in Jack Read Park. In December, Jack Read is the place to be for the annual Christmas in the Park Celebration.


City of Picayune Parks and RecreationMildred Mitchell Park

The council recently approved naming a new city park at Daniels Street and Hwy. 43 North The Mildred Mitchell Park. Mitchell was on-hand and was introduced to a large crowd attending the session by Councilwoman Jan Stevens, who suggested naming the park after her.
