IDA RECOVERY UPDATE 9/1/21

Posted on September 1, 2021

Storm debris collection will not take place until all residents has had ample time to collect it from their yards, houses and automobiles, by the property owners, tree cutters and power companies. This period of time is undetermined but could be 7 to 10 days.

White goods will be picked up by City of Picayune personnel beginning Friday, September 3. Anyone needing this done should contact the Public Works Department at 601-799-0602601-798-0031 or 311 to request a work order be written for it.

Coastal Environmental Services will be collecting household waste on Thursday and Friday only this week. The normal route will resume next week.

There are only two traffic signals that are not working at this time. They are on Memorial Blvd. at the north and south bound I59 off ramps. These are MDOT traffic signals and I have been assured they will repair them asap. In the mean while we have temporary stop signs staged at each signal.

With Best Regards,
