Planning & Zoning / Code Enforcement

A building permit is required by the City of Picayune for all types of renovations, additions, or new construction. The permits are sold in the office of the Building Inspector located at 200 Hwy 11 South.

The cost of the permit is based upon the estimated cost of the building project. Bring your estimate with you when you apply for a permit. Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work also require a permit. The City Inspector must inspect all work to ensure standards and codes are met. Our phone number for information on all permits is 601-798-9777.

Planning & Zoning Permit Portal

This portal provides the public 24/7 access to complete applications for building permits, make payments, request inspections, and more.  This can be used by citizens, homeowners, contractors, and business owners who may need to obtain a permit from the City of Picayune. Contractors are also able to upload plans for review and more!

Additional portals will be added in the near future including a code enforcement module to allow you to report concerns 24/7, along with other business licensing and planning and zoning modules.

You can create your account and begin to explore the portal at your convenience. For questions or assistance, please call our office.
